Individual counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to talk through what is happening in your life and begin to understand it more clearly.

Daphne supports adults and young people experiencing anxiety, low mood, panic, stress, anger, self-esteem difficulties, relationship patterns, workplace pressure, family concerns and periods of change. Sessions are paced around your needs and may be short-term and focused, or longer-term where deeper exploration feels helpful.

Individual counselling FAQs

How many sessions will I need?

There is no fixed number of sessions. Some people come for short-term support around a specific issue, while others prefer longer-term therapy. This can be discussed in your first appointment and reviewed as the work develops.

Can counselling help with anxiety or low mood?

Yes. Counselling can help you understand what may be contributing to anxiety, low mood or overwhelm, and develop practical ways to cope while also exploring the deeper patterns behind how you feel.

Is everything I say confidential?

Sessions are confidential, with the usual professional safeguarding exceptions if there is a serious risk of harm to you or someone else. Daphne will explain confidentiality clearly at the start of the work.
